Craving for homemade tortillas? Follow this easy recipe for
crafting your own soft and yummy flour tortillas at home. It's so much easier
than you think!
When it comes to storage, flexibility is key. Room temperature
storage is perfect for short-term use, while refrigeration extends their
freshness. For those who love to plan ahead (like me!), freezing tortillas
opens up the possibility of having your homemade delights on hand whenever you
need them. Whichever storage method you choose, rest assured that you're in for
a treat whenever you decide to indulge in your homemade flour tortillas.
Room Temperature: To store tortillas at room
temperature, stack them with pieces of parchment paper or wax paper in between
to prevent sticking. Place the stack in a resealable plastic bag or an airtight
container. Use within 2 to 3 days.
Refrigeration: For longer storage, put your
tortillas in a resealable plastic bag or airtight container and store in the
refrigerator. They can last for up to a week.
Freezing: To freeze tortillas, stack them with parchment paper or wax paper between each tortilla. Place the stack in a resealable freezer bag and remove excess air. They can be frozen for up to 3 months. To use frozen tortillas, thaw them in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
